Pine Cones

I look afar in a tree
To see roses perched with glee,
But they were really pine cones you see.

Ok, so this poem I wrote when I was waiting outside to get in for work. The lighting on this tree just showed these bright red or orange-red pine cones, and to me they sort of looked like roses; they were round, sort of, and plus they were far away, so if you just glanced at it, they would have looked like roses. I actually don't even know how this poem even came out to be honest. I just saw this tree, pondered it for a while, and the words just came out. I just wrote what I saw and it turned out to be a poem. Even though its short, I like it, and hope that you do too.
Now about my book..... I'm still unsure about a title. I was actually going to figure that out when I'm writing the middle to end of the book, so that may be a while. I also still have to find a good rising action, climax, and resolution. I got the exposition down, but everything else still needs work. I want this book to be perfect, unexpected, and one that everyone will want to read. I know that's a lot to ask for my first book, but I'm just hoping that happens. Of course it wont compare to other authors, from Stephanie Meyer to John Steinbeck, but I have to try don't I?
In the mean time I'm working on school and writing more poems. These poems just keep coming out, I tell ya. I don't even know where it comes from. I have never been able to write poetry, at least as much as I have now, until I started this English class; and as hard as it may be, it is really helping me a lot with my writing, which is the upside to doing this class. The downside is just not being able to get this done on time and just how hard it is. Other than that, I like it, sort of.
As you can see I added a new header, so I hope that you like it. I also changed the title of the blog from "Writings of a Learning Writer" to "The Art of a Learning Writer: Imagine, Write, Publish" so I hope that you like that. I know that I do. I will add some music when I can, and even maybe put some of my art work on here.....
No, it is not my writing. I already have that one here. I mean actual art; drawings pastel, paintings, etc. And this will only happen if I can get my scanner working. I may even also put picture up that are not ones by me, so I will let you know which pictures are which.
Enjoy more of my writings..... And like I said, I'll write when I can.
